Supply Teachers and Temporary Staff
Summary
Recruit temporary and fixed-term teachers, education support staff and non-teaching staff for UK schools, colleges and education establishments. It is not available to independent (for-profit) schools.
Description
You will be able to access a range of industry accredited suppliers providing temporary workers, including but not limited to:
- teachers
- educational support staff such as teaching assistants and cover supervisors
- headteachers and senior leaders
- admin, clerical, finance, IT, maintenance, caterers, cleaners and drivers
All educational establishments in the public sector can use this agreement, including:
- schools (primary and secondary, maintained and academies)
- further and higher education establishments
- nurseries and pre-schools
- other public sector organisations with educational needs such as local authorities, central government departments, hospitals and prisons
The agreement will replace RM6238 Supply Teachers and Temporary Staffing (STaTS).

Product types
Lot 1: Preferred Suppliers List
Use our agency selection tool to hire temporary and fixed term workers directly from a recruitment agency.
Lot 2: Managed Service Contracts
Access a master or neutral vendor (single recruitment agency) who will provide all of your temporary staffing needs. The recruitment agency will use their supply chain of other agencies to support meeting your staffing needs where needed.
Customer engagement
We plan to hold customer engagement events during November and December 2024.
The first session will be held on Thursday 7th November 2024 at 1pm.
We will engage with existing STaTS and new customers, utilising relationships with the Department for Education, to create an up to date agreement that includes the necessary temporary workforce services you need.
Engagement sessions will be a mix of surveys, webinars and 1-2-1 discussions.
