The Crown Commercial Service (CCS) Tail Spend team are hosting an interactive customer forum to gain greater insight on the management of ‘tail spend’ across the public sector. Tail spend is regularly mismanaged across the Public Sector, costing the tax payer millions of pounds each year and is often invisible until purchases appear in an organisation’s end of year accounts, causing significant budget pressures if not controlled properly.

After significant engagement with Public Sector buyers and the supply market CCS launched the first of its kind Tail Spend Solution in October 2021, making it quicker and easier for the Public Sector to purchase low complexity, ad-hoc, often low value products with the aim of saving organisations millions of pounds each year.

Following the success of the first Tail Spend Solution the CCS team are now developing the next iteration of the agreement. In this session we want to hear more about the challenges Public Sector buyers face when managing their tail spend, your key priorities, and discuss what improvements we can make to the next agreement.

This session is open to all Buyers from across the UK Public Sector and you do not need to be a current user of the CCS Tail Spend solution to participate.
