Guidance for suppliers on producing your Carbon Reduction Plan (CRP)
In 2019, the UK became the first major economy to adopt a legal commitment to achieve ‘Net Zero’ carbon emissions by 2050.
Procurement Policy Note 06/21 was published on Gov.uk on 5th June of 2021, and went live 30th September.
This measure requires suppliers bidding for major government contracts to commit to achieving Net Zero by 2050 and publish a ‘Carbon Reduction Plan’ (CRP). Suppliers who fail to make this commitment or publish their plan risk being excluded from the procurement process.
Our Sustainability team runs regular webinars offering guidance on measuring and reporting your organisation’s emissions, and producing and maintaining a compliant CRP.
